Its Better Living In The City essay

I think that it is better living in the city than living in the country. I am going to give you some of the many great points of why people should.

First of all is that in the city you are not isolated. When you want something you don’t have to wait as long to go to the shop because you can go down to the shop anytime you want. All of the supermarkets are handy and if you run out of supplies it doesn’t really matter because you are so handy to everything. Second you don’t get to meet as many people in the country. You have more friends in town which is really great for the kids and makes them really social and un-shy. When you are older there are more facilities around for people to be sociable. For example there are more clubs for young men to go to meet new friends. Another good point about living in the city is that you are close to shops. If you run out of groceries you can walk down to the shops to get what you need. If you live in the country you have to drive to the shops but when you live in the city you can walk to the grocery store so you are fitter. Every time you go to town when you are in the country you have to get a big lot of groceries at the store and you have to stay there for a long time which is really boring for the kids but when you live in town you don’t stay at the grocery store long so it isn’t one of those “big jobs” you have to conquer.

Sport is also miles better in the city. This is because you get to play more sport and get heaps fitter. Instead of coming home and playing Playstation or Xbox city kids can join lots of sport and interact with other children and get to know them better. Yet again there is another good point about the travelling in sport. You don’t have to get up early to go to sport and get everything ready for the game. You can stay in bed longer and get up when you want to and there is no rush when you have got to go somewhere.

Family time also has some good points to the matter. There is more activities that families can do in the city. For example for young families there are parks where you can go and play. For youths there are things like the movies and hydro slides and public pools that you can go and have fun in. In the country you would have to settle for the river which is unhealthy. The second point to the matter is that your parents are more skilled. Not many farmers have university degrees or anything like that. So in the city people are more intelligent.

Schools in the city are also better because kids have more friends and are more interactive. If kids do not have many friends, when they are older they will be lonelier. Even if you are not friends with all of your classmates you are playing around with kids your age. Another advantage is that children are in bigger classes. The reason this is better is because if you are stuck on a question or are confused they can ask lots of classmates before they ask the teacher who might be busy.

Another good point about living in the city is that you are closer to the emergency services. If you are old and living in the country and have something like a heart attack for example the rescue helicopter takes longer to get there than an ambulance would in the city. So therefore you are at less risk in the city. If you have a house fire the fire brigade can get there faster and have more chance of saving your house.

So as you can definitely see from the many points in my essay it is better to live in the city because it is better for sport, family time and school. I have named just some of the many great points of why everyone should
definitely live in they city.
